What visitors say

★★★★★

“We booked through TheFork and chose the Trattoria set menu specifically to save time before a flight. What followed was a 2-hour experience that left us genuinely surprised given the ratings. The single waitress was clearly doing her best under difficult circumstances, and this review is directed entirely at the establishment rather than her. The first two courses arrived 40–50 minutes after being seated, and noticeably overlapped with dishes from the Easter menu we had deliberately avoided. The pasta course (puttanesca) was significantly overcooked — far from al dente — and when raised politely, the explanation given was that egg pasta is simply cooked this way. In my experience, the type of pasta does not justify a soft, overcooked texture, and I'd be curious to hear Italian diners weigh in. We sent it back to move things along, and were brought a small spoonful of carbonara — seemingly to demonstrate the kitchen's ability rather than as a genuine resolution. The subsequent meat and fish courses were modest in portion. When we asked to take the tiramisu away given our time constraint, we were told takeaway wasn't possible (only a vacuum and seal option) , though a container was eventually found. The bill arrived in full with no acknowledgment of the pasta issue or the overall delay. The most disappointing moment came at the door, where the chef/manager stopped us to argue that we had misunderstood how egg pasta should be cooked. When I asked that the conversation continue in a language we both spoke, he simply said goodbye. We came with goodwill and an open mind. The concept has potential, but the pace, the menu overlap, the pasta quality and especially the way the complaint was handled fell well short of what any paying guest should expect.”

“I am Italian, I love to cook and I love pasta. So much that I hardly ever eat it outside Italy. Because I don't want to be disappointed and rather taste other cuisines. With one exeption: Demordisco. Chef Demetrio combines tradition and innovation with exquisite results, starting from fresh and top quality ingredients from the Mercado Central. Highly recommended for both a traditional experience and to discover new delicious combinations of flavors.”

“I don’t usually leave reviews, but this one really deserves it. The whole experience was fantastic! The food was amazing, fresh ingredients cooked perfectly. We tried the New Year’s Eve menu and everything was so good. The tuna dish, in particular, was unbelievable, and the tiramisu was honestly one of the best I’ve had in ages. The waitress was friendly and professional, and made us feel so welcome. The restaurant itself has a warm and inviting vibe, which just made everything even better. We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in Alicante! I’d give it 6 stars if I could 👌”

“Food and service was perfect. I had a four curse menu. Fish, beef tartare, pasta was 10/10. Beef teriyaki was average, need to work on it. Tiramisu 10/10”
